Marshall Anthony Pugh of Hookerton, North Carolina, formerly of Madison County, Georgia passed away on Monday, February 5, 2018, at the age of 42 after a short battle with cancer.

Marshall was a man better suited for a tree stand than a hospital bed, but when he was called to fight the big cancer, he did. He fought until the very end. He showed no fear and stayed committed to being the best father, son, brother, uncle, grandfather and spouse he could be. Marshall Anthony Pugh, you will never be forgotten. You will be the M to our MARS, our sunshine on a cloudy day, our trophy buck on opening day, and the stitch to our quilt that tethers our family together for the days to come.

Marshall was born on December 13, 1975 in Commerce, Georgia to Joyce M. Baird (Jerry) and William “Dickie” H. (Sherry) Pugh. He was employed with Sam’s Club in Winterville, North Carolina. He was a Christian and was in a great place with the Lord! He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, James and Daisy Baird, and paternal grandparents, Henry and Tiny Pugh.

He is survived by his fiancé, Kathleen Spivey; children, Chace and Maisy, Robert (Sierra) and Melissa Winkler; grandsons, Tripp and Romell Winkler; sister, Robin (Randy) Spence; and brothers, Ashley (Jessica) and Shane (April) Pugh, his extended family, Erica McKinney, Ed and Faye Stanfield, and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
