Marsha Rae Miller Boggs, age 83, of Kendallville, Indiana, formerly of Upland, Indiana, passed peacefully on December 29, 2021, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Marsha was born on July 28, 1938, in Portland, Maine, the daughter of Edward and Evelyn (McAllister) Miller. She married the love of her life, William L. Boggs, Jr., on December 17, 1960, in Cumberland Center, Maine.

He preceded her in death in 1991. Marsha graduated from Greely High School, Cumberland Center, and The University of New England, where she studied Radiology Technology. Marsha was a member of the Congregational Church in Cumberland Center, and Upland United Methodist Church after moving to Indiana. She loved singing in the choir every Sunday, and she sang in the Marion Easter Pageant for many years. Marsha worked in Radiology at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, Indiana, and retired from Blackford County Hospital, Hartford City, Indiana. After retirement, Marsha enjoyed living on Kuhn Lake, Leesburg, Indiana. Along with her new lake friends, she was very involved with her new church family at North Webster United Methodist Church, where she also sang in the choir.

She loved growing up on the farm in Cumberland Center and loved all the animals, especially her horse Duchess. She was very involved in Girl Scouts, becoming a very special leader for her daughters and so many other young girls in Upland. She was a very dedicated band mom for all three of her children. She coached her daughters’ softball teams, and assisted her husband with her son’s Boy Scouts den and baseball teams. She loved watching sports and especially liked her basketball games. She was a Charter member of the Upland Lioness Club. She loved her bus trips to the casinos with her friends in North Webster and couldn’t wait for the next one. She will be lovingly missed by her daughter, Stacey Diane Boggs, Fish Lake; her daughter, Jennifer Rae (Timothy) O’Connor, Witmer Lake; son, William L. (Verna) Boggs, III, Indianapolis; her grandsons that she was very proud of, Kyle (Kayla) O’Connor, and Andrew (Kaitlan) O’Connor; and her great grandson, Kody O’Connor, who was the light of her life. She cherished every moment she got to spend with him.

She is also survived by her brother, David (Linda) Miller; sister-in-law, Judy Garr; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
