ELIOT, ME; Marlene M. Skorupski, 60, of Eliot, Maine, formerly of Plainville died peacefully on Sunday April 22, 2012.

Marlene lived in Eliot, ME and was born in New Britain on February 11, 1952 to the late Chester S. Skorupski and Doris E. Skorupski, currently a resident at the Jerome Home in New Britain. Marlene grew up in Plainville and was a graduate of UCONN in the field of allied health with honors. She worked in the field of physical therapy throughout New England and retired in 2010 after 30 years as the director of the Physical Therapy Department at the Rockingham County Nursing Home. Marlene enjoyed golf, kayaking, karaoke and Sudoku. She was a Red Sox fan, a Patriots fan and was an avid supporter of Geno’s UCONN women’s basketball. She enjoyed going to the cabin on Conway Lake. She will be remembered for infectious laugh, sense of humor and her eggplant parmigiana and toll house cookies.

Besides her mother, Marlene leaves behind her loving partner, Diana Parker of Eliot, ME. She also leaves her siblings, brother Stanley J. Skorupski, his wife Dot and their daughter Jen Winalski of Meriden, sister Carol A. Wallace and her husband Terry of Wethersfield, brother Joseph Skorupski, his wife pam and their children Jordan and Elliott of Middletown, her dear friend, Gladi Hartford and many loving lifetime friends.
