Marlene Louise Leathers (nee Feig) 62, of O’Fallon, IL, born August 8, 1951, in East St. Louis, IL, died Friday, November 8, 2013. Marlene had worked for Call for Help and for the Department of Human Services in Belleville. She was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ in Collinsville and a former member of the United Church of Christ in O’Fallon, and from 1980-1989 she served as a Girl Scout Leader for the River Bluffs Council of Girl Scouts.
Marlene was preceded in death by her mother; Emma T. Feig (nee Ferrero) and her ex-husband; Otis L. Leathers. She is survived by her daughter; Christy DeLuca & Wilson M. Hopkins III of Camp Lejeune, NC, her father; Melvin L. Feig of O’Fallon, IL, sister; Kathleen & John Buettner of Belleville, IL, 2 grandchildren; Wilson M. Hopkins IV & Dennis D. Hopkins, 2 nieces; Amy L. Boecklen of Belleville, IL & Kelly R. Winkeler of Fairview Heights, IL, nephew; Kevin Dial of O’Fallon, IL, 5 special friends; Mary Lou Alderson of Belleville, IL, Jenifer Davis of Belleville, IL, Janelle Fanning of Belleville, IL, Mary Ann Gray of Fairview Heights, IL and Jeannie Kopp of Henderson NV.
