Marlene K Eby, formerly of Union, had her request to be taken to heaven granted on Saturday, August 27, 2011 at her home in Cape Coral, Florida. She was born August 18, 1946 in Sturgis, Michigan to Delbert and Marjorie (Powell) Eby. Marlene was a special child who loved everyone and knew the names of everyone she had ever met. She sang beautifully, even singing at her parent’s funeral.
Thanks to a determined cousin, Janiece Eby Wilson, Marlene learned to read well enough to read her Bible and her favorite TV Guide and lived well beyond the predicted 12 years, celebrating her 65 birthday just a few weeks ago.Marlene was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Cape Coral, Florida, and First Baptist Church in Union. Marlene is survived by one sister, Dian (Loren) Mosier of Cape Coral, Florida; aunts and uncles; nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Delbert and Marjorie Eby; and one brother, Barton Eby.
