Marlene Joyce Lamp, 58, of Clarksburg, went home to be with our Lord Saturday afternoon, November 19, 2011 surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 8, 1953 in Warren, Oh, the daughter of Wayman D. Postlethwaite of West Union and the late Irene E. Schritchfield Postlethwaite. She is survived by her husband Michael Warren Lamp whom she married October 16, 1971. In addition to her husband she is survived by four sons; Michael W. Lamp II of Clarksburg, Marc J. Lamp and wife Elizabeth D. of Stafford, Va., Kenneth M. “Mikey” Lamp of Morgantown, Calvin M. Scheuvront and wife Angela of Dola, WV; three grandchildren; Laura H. Lamp, Becca N. Lamp and Timothy M. Scheuvront; five brothers; Gary Postlethwaite of Ripley, Keith Postlethwaite and wife Jeanni of Pittsburgh, Tim Postlethwaite, of Ravenswood, John “Rick” Jangula and wife Stephanie of Spokane, WA, Jake Postlethwaite and wife Rhonda of Midwest City, OK; six sisters; Linda McClung and husband Mike of Ravenswood; Renae Genteel of Clarksburg, Johnette Smith of Butte, Montana, Sharon Munford and husband Gene of Briggs, ID, Cathy Insomya and husband Chai of Harrah, OK and Patti Caldwell and husband Willie of Oklahoma City, OK; step-mother Hazel Postlethwaite, Midwest City, OK; two brothers-in-law; Lewis G. “Skeet” Lamp and wife Wavelene of Etters, PA and John T. Lamp and wife Josephine of Clarksburg and one sister-in-law; Cindy Kovach and husband Steve of Clarksburg. In addition to her mother, Marlene was preceded in death by her grandmother, Evelyn J Cain that raised her. Marlene graduated from Victory High School, Class of 1971 and she was very involved in her church. She attended Clarksburg Church of God, Liberty Addition, where she was involved with the Youth and the Ladies Ministry; she was a Sunday School Teacher, helped with Vacation Bible School, and the Food Pantry. She was Treasurer for the Harrison County chapter of the National Federation of the Blind. Marlene enjoyed reading, sewing, playing cards, board games and square dancing.
