Marlene J. Ripley, age 56, of Pataskala, Ohio, formerly of Salem, died at 8 a.m. Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at the Kobacker House in Columbus, Ohio. She was born July 7, 1957 in Cleveland, Ohio, daughter of the late Emmett C. and Freda L. (Wallace) McConaha. Marlene was a 1974 graduate of Leetonia High School and was a member of World Harvest Church. She had been manager of the Fitness and Nutrition Store in Columbus and had previously worked at the Electric Furnace Company in Salem. Marlene touched the lives of many people through the faith of the Lord. Her husband, Randy Ripley, whom she married July 9, 1983, survives her along with a son, Matthew M. Ripley of Pataskala, Ohio; sister, Gloria (Larry) Hinchliffe of Salem; four brothers, Rodney (Linda) McConaha of Cookeville, Tennessee, Gary (Terri) McConaha of Rickman, Tennessee, Mack (Darla) McConaha of Salem and George McConaha of Rickman, Tennessee; sister-in-law, Stacy Cuevas of San Diego, California; and brother-in-law, Rob Ripley of California.
