Marlene Anne Santini was welcomed into heaven and embraced in the loving arms of her Savior, Jesus, on Friday, July 27, 2018. She was a blessing for 71 years as she touched the lives of those around her in ways she couldn’t have imagined. She is reunited in heaven with her parents, Arthur and Anna C. (Rongo) Santini. They celebrated as Marlene was born into their lives on Friday, August 16, 1946.
Marlene was employed as a machine operator at Genie in Alliance for 38 years. She was a lifelong member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church and a 1964 graduate of Salem High School. Marlene will be greatly missed by those who shared life with her including her two sisters, Lola M. Brown and Nina Wirkner of Salem, her brother, Jon A. Santini Sr. of Leetonia, three nieces, four nephews, seven great nieces and two great nephews.
Over the years, she was always a special face in the audience for her nieces and nephews, cheering them on in sporting events, dance recitals, plays, belt tests, piano recitals, Boy Scout ceremonies, and numerous school events. As years went on, families moved but not even the distance got in the way of her love and support. She traveled to Columbus and as far as North Carolina for the kids’ events and activities.
She unselfishly lived her life going out of her way to help and support her family in every way she could. Marlene’s family looks forward to the day they are rejoined with her in her eternal home, heaven.
