Marla Jean Moreno, 72, passed away on October 18, 2021, surrounded by her children, grandchildren and sister.

Marla was the daughter of the John “Bill” and Leona Trainer. She was born November 16, 1948 in Kalamazoo, MI.

Marla, a light that was so bright and wonderful. She was so grateful for the life she lived and people she raised. She went by as “Nana,” proud to say she had 15 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Most of those grandchildren she helped raise and was a second mom to. She was the happiest to have watched them all grow into adults and some into parents. Nana loved her family and any time spent together she was always grateful for. Others called her Nana and she responded; she took all in with so much love!

Nana loved to play Farmville, so proud of the farm she maintained. One connection she adored having, playing with family and the people she met on there became longtime friends. If you knew Nana, you’d know her love for butterflies. And like butterflies, Nana showed how beautiful she was and her outlook on life. She always said life is too short but to accept change and strive for the best. She loved to sing, dance, and listen to music, LOUDLY! Acting silly, not giving a care about what others thought while drinking a Natural Light.

Nana was one strong person. Had so many difficulties in her life; never gave up, never allowed them to define her. Had battled cancer and survived, as the powerful woman she always was. She always was a fighter, all the way till the end.

She truly enjoyed watching what she created and being around for as much as she had. She will be terribly missed by so many.

She is survived by her daughter, Michelle Enriquez (Jimmy); her sons, Carlos Jimenez and Jason Sutherland; her grandchildren, Yvette, Adrianna, Amanda, Robert, Mariah, Christina, Junior, Nikki, Allie, Carlos, Allyssa, Jade, Alec, Milly, and Ethan; her great grandchildren, Khloe, Amelia, Elaina, Baylee, Savannah, and Paige; her sister, Leona; her niece, Kylee, her companion, Tails; and many great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Tasha; her sister, Frankie Czuk; her nephew, Michael Paul Czuk; her great nephew, Zach Czuk, brother-in-law, Mike Czuk.
