Mark Timothy Lucas, 58, passed away Sunday July 20, 2014 in Franklin. He was a resident of Franklin. He was born October 7, 1955 in Madison to John C. and Dorothy (Wise) Lucas.
He married Tina Sparks on June 5, 1976 in Peru; they were married for 38 years.
Mark worked for Greenwood and New Whiteland street departments. He has logged over 2 million miles driving a semi truck over the years and for the last 5 years, Mark enjoyed being a dedicated engineer for the Amity Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed traveling, seeing the mountains, tinkering and figuring out how things worked. He loved to fish and hunt with his wife’s family and his best friend, brother-in-law, Darrell. His singing when spending time alone was his quite time with God.
He is survived by his parents, John and Dorothy Lucas, wife, Tina Lucas of Franklin, a son, Mark Shane ( Alexis) Lucas of Franklin, three sisters, Carlotta (Darrell) McKnight and Rebecca (Rick) Stevens both of Edinburgh and Dianna (Jimmy) Mobley of Kentucky, two brothers, Michael (Joellyn) Lucas of Morgantown and Stephen (Pam) Lucas of Virginia., his first grandchild on the way, Gabriel Ryder Lucas and his two dogs, Demon, and Nymeria.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Julie Ester Lucas.
