Thompson, Mark 49, of Highland, died suddenly on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at home. Born in Beacon on January 23, 1967, he was the son of Rosemary Thompson and the late Woodrow P. Thompson. Mark was a 1985 graduate of Beacon High School. Mark was currently employed by Joshua Paving of Clintondale, New York and Seminole Paving of Sandford, Florida. He was also a member of Laborers Local 17. He was formerly employed by Avello Brothers and Porco Energy. Mark is survived by his beloved mother, Rosemary Thompson. He is also survived by his sisters and ‘brothers’, Leilani Thompson of Oviedo, Florida, Jeannine Lamoree and husband David of Fishkill, and Karla Lahey and her husband Dennis of Beacon. In addition, he is also survived by his nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly, Daniel Lenihan, Rosanna (Andrew) Tyckoson, Kari Lahey, Denise Lahey, Ashley Lamoree, David Lamoree, and Kacee Lahey. He is also survived by his great-nephew, Riley Anderson. Mark was predeceased by his father in 1989. Mark was also predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Angelo and Mary Colacicco and his paternal grandparents, Woodrow and Marie Thompson. Mark was an amazing son, brother, uncle, and friend. He was passionate about his family, The New England Patriots, and life in general. He was a hard worker who took pride in every job he did. He made life long friends every where he went and his spirit will live on in all who knew and loved him.
