After 61 years around the sun and as the season prepares for Fall Mark aka “Mooch” passed away on Friday, September 2, 2022, after a 6-year battle with Cancer. He passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family and friends.
Mark is survived by his wife Denise. Father of Mark (Jenna), Lindsey, Zoe, Daphnie, Kaiser, and the late Melissa and Austin. Grandfather to Steven Jr., Tabatha, Lily, Dennis Jr., Davian, Liam, Kaiden, Mark 3rd, and the late Destiny. Bonus dad/grandpa to Jackie and the kids
Also survived by his late parents Ed & Helen Rusk and late inlaws Joanne & Dave Boyer.
Brother to the late Judy(Ron) Rev. Ed. (Sherri), Steve(Gail), Laura(late Mike), David, Brian(Edie). Brother-in-law to Dan (Tina), Tim(Eileen), Jim(Renee), Paula, Mike(Cynthia).
Mark was a GHS graduate from the Class of 79′. He worked a few jobs and then started working at PlyGems where he worked for many years. He then worked briefly for Thermoseal untiL landing a position as a forklift operator for Gloucester Terminals LLC for the rest of his employment. He was a Teamster for Local 929.
Mark was very handy. He could fix almost anything. He was a hard worker. He was a strong man who gave cancer a good fight. He sometimes was laid back and other times the life of the party with his antics such as Riddle me this one Batman, or Big Deal that don’t impress me.
He loved shuffleboard, music watching tv, BBQ,’s, and the beach. He loved having a few cold ones while watching the Phillies, Miami Dolphins and Nascar. He loved fishing. He loved doing things with the kids and as a family. Most importantly he loved spending time and making cherished memories with his family and friends.
