On June 26, 2022 at 6:14pm, Mark Lee Myers of Greenwood, Indiana passed away at St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis during a long-fought battle with diabetes. Mark graduated from Greenwood High School in 1977. Mark was raised by his parents Robert Carroll Myers and Mildred Lee Myers (Chase) of Indianapolis.
Mark was preceded in death by his father Robert, mother Mildred, brother Robert Derrell, Brother Jeffrey, his beloved twins David and Paige, and his lifelong friend James Doub. Mark was survived by his wife Becky (Higdon) Myers, daughter Amy Lee Myers, son Robert (Ashley) Myers, sister Kim (Dennis) Montgomery, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Mark spent his life with a wrench in his hand and grease under his nails, as a mechanic who was always willing to help anyone to keep them rolling down the road. In 2014, Mark retired from his career as an ASE Certified Transmission mechanic, finishing his career at Ray Skillman Ford in Greenwood, IN. In addition to turning wrenches, Mark loved crashing and smashing up cars in the demolition derby, which is the only reason that he would drive a Chevrolet.
Mark was a loving husband of 41 years, a determined father, loyal sibling, and friend to many people. His work ethic is an immense part of his personality. His strength and sometime stubbornness will be remembered and cherished as a memory that will live on forever.
