Mark Kita, 61, of New Britain, died peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Thursday, Dec. 16, 2021, at John Dempsey Hospital. He was the beloved son of Marianna (Furmanek) Kita of New Britain, and the late Mieczyslaw Kita. Born in Poland, he was a lifelong New Britain resident and a member of Sacred Heart Church, New Britain. Mark received his bachelor’s degree from CCSU and retired from Eversource after many years of employment. He was a sports enthusiast and especially loved to follow UConn Huskies basketball. A devoted brother and a kind and loving uncle, he leaves his sister Jola (Kita) Sliwinski and her husband Wesley of Farmington; nephew Paul Sliwinski and wife Eileen, and daughters, Micaela, Keira, and Nora, all of Unionville; niece Cathy Colandrea and husband Mike, and sons Cole and Jack of Rensselaer, NY; and nephew Michael Sliwinski of Washington, DC.
