Mark Freeman, 77, of Salem, passed away March 2, 2012 at his residence after an extended illness.
Mark was born March 20, 1934 in Doddridge County. He is the son of the late Hugh Freeman and Roxie Davis Freeman. On May 23, 1981, Mark married Teresa G. Albright Freeman. He is survived by four sons Michael T. Freeman and wife Tiffany, Hickory, NC; John L. Triplett, Jr. and wife Lela, Clarksburg; Joseph L. Triplett and wife Jennifer, Salem; Jason L. Triplett and wife Alisha, Louisville, KY; four grandchildren Tyler, Tristen, Nathan and Sierra; step-brother Larry “Pete” Jenkins and wife Patty, Salem; two step-sisters Rita Hiley and husband Ralph, Parkersburg; Joyce Stout and husband Chuck, Salem and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mark was preceded in death by his step-mother Juanita Freeman.
Mark graduated from Doddridge County High School and served in the US Navy. He attended two years of college and retired from the West Virginia Department of Highways in 1994, where he was an Equipment Operator. Mark loved working for the Lord and teaching Sunday school classes. He was a member of Indian Fork Baptist Church. He also enjoyed working with his horses. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend and will be sadly missed by all.
