Mark Estensen, 65, passed to eternal life December 2, 2015 after a valiant and good humored effort to outwit cancer. Mark grew up in Phoenix and graduated from Arcadia High School where he developed many life long friendships. He joined the Navy and served for 3 years on an aircraft carrier during the Vietnam War. Mark painted and remodeled homes in the Phoenix metropolitan area for 25 years. He was a gentle balance and an adoring soul mate to his wife of 38 years, Ann. Mark was a loving, patient, and exemplary father to his children, son Michael and daughter Sara. He was a true Renaissance man; a family man, a gourmet cook, an artist, a musician, a welder, a painter, a carpenter, and a hunter. Mark was playful, warm, and respectful to all whose paths he crossed. Throughout his life, Mark became well known as a giving person who spontaneously and generously created gifts for others. Mark and Ann relocated to Pinos Altos, NM in 2007 where he built a beautiful home in the mountains. Mark will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his wife Ann, son Michael, daughter Sara, sister Jill Cook and other extended family.
