Mark Ellis Washington, Sr. of Seaford, DE was born on May 26, 1960 in Dorchester County to the late
Mary Ellen Batson-Washington and Robert Edward Washington. He transitioned to glory at the age of 55 on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford, DE.
Mark received his education in the Seaford School District. Mark began working at the early age of 15 catching chickens. He also worked at Allen Family Foods prior to his health issues. Mark was a member of his family church, Bethel United Methodist in Federalsburg, MD under the leadership of Rev. Gary Meekins.
In addition to his parents, Mark was preceded in death by five brothers, Michael, Issac, Robert, Oliver, and Irvin Washington.
Beautiful memories of Mark’s life will forever be cherished by his devoted wife, Rhoda of 40 years and his two sons, Mark Ellis Washington, Jr. and Michael Maurice Washington (Tasha) all of Seaford, DE; nine brothers,
