Mark David Yerkes, 69, of Peru, formerly of Logansport, passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on May 2, 2020.

Born in Logansport on December 15, 1950, he was the son of Donald and JoEllen Galloway Yerkes.  His mother survives in Zionsville.

On November 12, 1983, he was married to Beverly Shidler, who survives, in Peru.

Dave retired in 2016 from the quality control department of 5-Hour Energy.

He enjoyed the outdoors, mushroom hunting, fishing and ice fishing, and loved caring for his property and lawn maintenance. He enjoyed mowing, mowing and mowing, and cutting and splitting wood for the fireplace.

Dave was a very true, kind and common man.

Also surviving are five step-children, Lisa Fry-Van Es (Rich), Mark Fry, Mike Fry (Toni) all of Logansport, George Ebey (Brooke) of Delphi, and Jim Ebey (Gloria) of Ocala, Florida; nine grandchildren, and one great grandchild.

Also surviving are sisters, Debe (Tom) of Zionsville and Dina (Tom) of Pennsylvania; brother Don (Jan) of Colorado, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
