Mark B. Skipper of Rensselaer passed away Monday, August 27, 2018, at Franciscan Health Rensselaer.

Mark was born in Memphis, Tennessee on November 14, 1954, the son of James F. and Marian (Butler) Skipper. On March 27, 1993, in Rensselaer, Mark married Laurie Taylor who survives.

Mark was a U.S. Army veteran. He worked as an over-the-road truck driver, having been employed for 25 years with Food Liner Corporation, Dubuque, Iowa. He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Rensselaer.

Mark was also a member of the Rensselaer Moose Lodge #2272 and enjoyed doing woodworking projects. His greatest joy was his time spent with his family and especially with his grandchildren.

Surviving with his loving wife Laurie is one daughter, Amy Randolph of Rensselaer, five grandchildren, Desmond Souders, Dalton Souders, Ayden Randolph, Destiny Rodriguez (Gaby) and Stormy Randolph, great-grandchildren Quinton Souders, Leilani Rodriguez, Jakobie Randolph and a great-granddaughter on the way, four brothers, Jim Skipper (Julie) of Alabama, Andrew Skipper of Tennessee, Carl Skipper and John Skipper (Betty) both of North Carolina and two sisters-in-law, Linda Taylor and Michelle Effinger (Joe) both of Rensselaer.

Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Marian Skipper.
