Mr. Mark Anthony Payne was born October 10, 1981 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Deneen Payne Malone and Carlton Stevenson.
Mark attended Indianapolis Public Schools graduating from Arlington High School class of 2001 and continuing his education at Vincennes University. Mark would later in life attend the Fathers and Families Center where he would learn to hone his fatherhood skills.
Mark was a water baby and learned to swim as a toddler. Mark had many loves such as, board games card games, games of chance, movies and old school rhythm and blues, with his favorite of all times song being “Always and Forever”.
Mark was a devoted father, son, brother and friend who will be missed by everyone who knew him and loved him.
Mr. Mark Anthony Payne departed this life on Wednesday, August 31, 2022, at the age of forty years, ten months and ten days. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Charlene Grimm, his grandfather Maceo Payne, and his paternal grandmother Josephine Stevenson.
He leaves to cherish his memories his daughters, Shaniya LaRae Payne and Leiloni Nyree Payne; mother, Deneen Michelle Payne Malone; stepfather, Johnny Malone; father, Carlton Stevenson; sisters, Ebony Harper, Aniyha Stevenson, Cherie Malone Lawson (Geno), Malinda Malone King (Willie), Eboni Malone Jackson (Damon), and Kristle Malone; brother, Houston Harper aka “Hootie”, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
