Mark Anthony Osinski passed away Saturday, December 11, 2021, in Kalamazoo, MI. He was born July 25, 1961, in Detroit, MI a son of Stephen and Lorraine (Miazek) Osinski. Mark spent his early years growing up in Warren, MI.
Mark graduated with both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in engineering from Wayne State University. He spent his entire 40-year career working for Eaton Corp. His outgoing personality quickly turned colleagues into friends which led to many rounds of golf, sporting events, and social gatherings outside of work.
On October 21, 2000, Mark married his soul mate, Vicki L. Ashbaugh, who survives. Also surviving are his children, Sydney Ann Osinski and Ryan Anthony Osinski; parents; siblings, Stephen (Amy) Osinski, David (Anita) Osinski, Diane (Joseph) Gammicchia, and Cynthia (Mark) Denis; Vicki’s father, Douglas (Sue) Ashbaugh; Vicki’s siblings, Scott (Kim) Ashbaugh, Rick Ashbaugh, and Bob (Leslie) Ashbaugh; and special friends, Kurt and Angie Kuppler. Mark was preceded in death by Vicki’s mother, Shirley Ashbaugh.
Mark’s best friend was Vicki. They spent endless hours walking beaches, cuddling on the couch watching Sunday football, and competing in many sports. Their greatest joy was spending time with their children. Whether Mark was coaching softball, baseball, hockey, or being a spectator at dance competitions, he just loved being with his family. Mark, Vicki, and the kids took vacations and spent much time at the family cottage in Muskegon with his sister Cindy and brother in-law Mark. A highlight of each year was the crazy Osinski/Kuppler spring break trip.
Mark was very social; some would say he never met a stranger. At least once a week he would get together with Kurt and their friends over a cold brew. If Mark was not playing golf with Ryan, watching Sydney dance, or skating for his adult hockey team, he could be found supporting U of M’s football and hockey teams.
