Mark Allen Hancock, a 65-year-old lifelong resident of Indianapolis, Indiana returned to his heavenly home on January 23, 2022 after a valiant battle with cancer.
Mark was born on July 26, 1956 to John and Marjorie (Spencer) Hancock. Mark attended Thomas Carr Howe High School in Indianapolis, Indiana. He had a lifelong career with the Department of Public Works for the City of Indianapolis, retiring as Superintendent.
Mark was a lifelong devoted member of Calvary Tabernacle United Pentecostal Church, and his firm belief in God supported him throughout his battle and gave him ultimate peace.
Mark is survived by his wife Janice Mitchell; his children, Corey (Nicole), Eric, and Justin (Rebekah) Hancock; his seven grandchildren; as well as his sisters, Patricia Smith and Barbara Thorne. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers John “Rick” Hancock and Stanley “Butch” Gibson.
