Born in Denver, CO, on January 21, 1998. Mark spent most of his childhood in the mountains of Conifer, CO. He loved to travel with his family and experience many different places and cultures. In 2016, he graduated from Chatfield High School in Littleton, CO.

Mark moved to the Fort Lauderdale area in August of 2017. He worked as a server while going to real estate school and earned his real estate license in 2020. He loved to cook and was incredibly proud of the first Thanksgiving dinner he ever made on his own for his friends last year. Though he was from Colorado, Mark belonged wherever he was. As people discovered his grateful heart and loving presence, they couldn’t help but gravitate toward it. Many people became close friends with him in Florida, love him dearly and share in our grief.

Gentle and caring, he loved animals at least as much as people, and his voice and touch could calm any creature. Mark was a shining light in all our darkness: with a laugh, a smile, a song, a hug, and an impish joke for a dreary world that he made constantly joyful.

He is survived by his parents Allan and Ellen Auger, his brother Michael Auger, his sisters Rebecca Auger and Rachel Gravert, his brother-in-law Dave Gravert, and many extended family members across the country.

His loss will truly be felt across the country. All of his family and friends know, while the world grew darker and sadder (and boring) with his passing, our memories of him will continue to make us smile and laugh even through our tears. He left us all blessed with the lessons he unknowingly gave every day about how to be better, brighter, kinder, sillier, and how to be comfortable with who we are. He shone so brightly that none of us could imagine how soon his light was about to go out.
