A passionate supporter of many political and social causes, she was a Cub Scout den mother, Girl Scout leader, and a founding member of the Rockingham County League of Women Voters. She was never happier than when she was hosting friends and family at Litchfield Beach and was never more fulfilled than when she was supporting her grandson Chris and his adult home, Bell House. She and Leon moved to River Landing in 2003 where they made new old friends and she rediscovered her love of painting.
