Mrs. Marjorie Wilkinson Pike, age 93, of Valley passed away peacefully at her residence on Saturday, September 3, 2016.

Mrs. Pike was born in Fairfax, Alabama on October 30, 1922 to the late John Hillard Wilkinson and Bertha Alice Ratcliff Wilkinson.

Her mother, Bertha Alice Ratcliff Wilkinson, was instrumental in establishing the Community Chapel Church of God.  Marjorie was a member of and attended Community Chapel Church of God all her life.

Mrs. Pike was retired from the Playtex Corporation in LaFayette and has lived in this area most of her life. 

She is survived by her son, Clyde (Janice) Pike, Jr., Ellenwood, GA.; daughter, Dot Van Horn, Valley; grandchildren, Michelle Pike, Locust Grove, GA., Kyle (Jennifer) Van Horn, Valley; great grandchildren, Dylan Van Horn and his mother, Felicia Thrift, Tate Van Horn, Rylee Ledbetter, Abby Ledbetter, Rhianna Thaxton, Payton Thrift; great great-grandchild, Paisley Thrift;  special nieces, Brenda Perry, Sara Hadaway, Vivian McCain; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews; special friends, Dree Kirby, Anice Arnson, Marvin Moss; special caregivers, Rhonda Alsobrook and Bell Alsobrook.

The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to Gentiva Hospice and its staff, chaplain Dean, Keyeria, Jeremy, Colleen, Pat, Nita, Yeldon, Star, and Simone.

Mrs. Pike was preceded in death by her husband Willie “Dago” Pike, Sr.; brothers, Luther, Jack, and Radney Wilkinson; sisters, Edith Daniel and Edna Emfinger. 

Marjorie loved her family and friends and loved cooking for all of them.
