Marjorie Virginia Jackson was born on December 29, 1929 to the proud parents of the late Minnie Ruth and Elijah Maree. Margie has four surviving brothers, John, Joseph, Paul and Thomas; three sisters, Catherine, Carol and Barbara. She was married to the late Sylvester Daniel Jackson, III.
Margie attended school in the District of Columbia. She loved a friendly game of cards for fun. She enjoys music and her quiet time with a good cup of coffee.
Margie raised 11 children to include her brother’s daughter. She has 25 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren and a great number of nieces and nephews.
Margie has been a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church for 34 years. Margie’s middle name is carried on by her great granddaughter Lei’ AMonet Virginia Joffrion. Margie has become an inspiration to all that know her. She has shown her family and friends that through faith all things are possible. To the woman in the family, Margie has shown us how to raise our heads as women of dignity. Marjorie Virginia Jackson is a true phenomenal woman of God, and through her all our lives have been enhanced. Margie instilled in her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren the love of Christ which helped to guide them to salvation to which they are baptized today.
