Marjorie Suzanne Rice Daltry Rosenbaum of Middletown, CT passed away early Sunday morning October 20, 2013 in Delta, Colorado after a short illness. She was born May 10, 1921 in Hartford, CT and was the daughter of Louis Haskell Rice and Guilielma Murray Rice, and the sister of Charles Murray Rice. She was a resident of Connecticut her entire life, growing up and living in West Hartford before locating to the Middletown area in the late 1950s. Marjorie was a graduate of Hall High School and Radcliffe College of Cambridge, MA in 1943, as well as one of the original graduates in Wesleyan University’s Graduate Liberal Studies Program in 1955. She was a woman of cultured substance, demonstrative presence, and memorable performance. She was an English teacher in the West Hartford and Haddam schools and taught in Wesleyan’s GLSP.
