Marjorie M. Struecker, 64 of West Bend died Wednesday, September 23, 2009, at Mercy Medical Center in Mason City. Marjorie Schafer, the daughter of Carl and Marie (Dorweiler) Schafer was born on August 31, 1945, in West Bend, Iowa. She was raised and educated in West Bend, graduating from the West Bend High School in 1963. On September 14, 1963, she was united in marriage with Terry Struecker in West Bend. The couple lived in Bode and Humboldt before settling in West Bend in 1969. They spent the remainder of their married lives in West Bend. Marjorie was employed at Snap-On Tools in Algona for 27 years, retiring in August of 2005.
Survivors include her husband Terry of West Bend, son Todd of Palo Alto California, 3 grandchildren, brother Francis Schafer of West Bend, and sisters, Karla Hanson, Graettinger, IA, Pat Keeble, West Bend, IA, Janet Welter, Ottosen, IA, Linda Konken, Waterloo, IA, Dorothy Struthers, Ankeny, IA, Anna Schwint, Storm Lake, IA, and Theresa McKee, Sioux City, Iowa. Mrs. Strueker was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Algona and was preceded in death by her parents, brother in laws, Al Struthers and Jim Keeble.
