Marjorie E. (Stone) Kennison, 90, passed away peacefully at her home in Plymouth, MA, on July 13, 2015. “Marge” was born in Framingham, MA, November 23, 1924, the daughter of Helen E. (Murphy) Stone and James W. Dewey Stone of Westboro, MA. Her parents and brother, Richard D. Stone of Northboro, MA, predeceased her. A 1942 graduate of Westboro High School, “Marge” then attended Southern Seminary and Jr. College, Buena Vista, VA, in 1943, and Harcum Jr. College, Bryn Mawr, PA, in 1944 from which she received an associate degree in Medical Secretarial Science. In 1946, she wed Robert C. Kennison, her childhood sweetheart; they remained happily married until his passing in 2011. She worked for many years in secretarial positions in Springfield, Westboro, and Duxbury. She also ran, for a short time with a dear Westboro family friend, “How Crafty,” a consignment crafts shop that was in many ways ahead of its time. Marge was a sweet, compassionate person who had abundant love for her family as well as concern for the welfare of her fellow man, wildlife, and all animals. She believed in the Golden Rule, held no grudges, and encouraged consideration and tolerance of others’ views. She loved cats, the ocean and nature, and enjoyed seeing hummingbirds at her backyard feeder. She leaves her son Michael C. Kennison and his wife Nancy E. (Carey) Kennison of Newburyport, MA, daughters Merrill E. Kennison of Plymouth, and Sara J. Falk and her husband Peter J. Falk of Cohasset, MA, and son David W. Kennison of Lancaster, MA; beloved grandchildren Alexander N. Falk of Quincy, MA, Mariel A. Kennison-Robertson and her husband Adam D. Robertson of Bend, OR, and Linnea A. Kennison of Stow, MA; cousins David Farrar of Westboro and Lois Mae Kamishlian of Hopkinton, MA; nephews Douglas R. Stone of Northboro, Craig R. Whitney of Brooklyn Heights, NY, Dana P. Whitney of Clinton, CT, and niece Jane C. Whitney of Brooklin, ME.
