Marjorie June Nicholas Higginbotham, 80, Markleville, died March 10, 2008 at Miller’s Merry Manor, Middletown after an extended illness.
She was born September 26, 1927 in Markleville, Indiana, and resided in Madison County all of her life. She was a 1945 graduate of Markleville High School and was a 1946 graduate of the International Business College in Ft. Wayne in accounting. She retired from Delco Remy Division of General Motors where she was a trouble shooter for their entire computer system. She was a member of Markleville East Christian Church. Marjorie was very involved and was an elder of the church. She was a past member of the Order of Eastern Star.
She is survived by her daughter, Nikki Staggs of Markleville; grandchild, Brand Smith and great grandchildren, Chantelle Nicole Smith and Griffin Brand Smith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hiram Copher & Leafy Cole Nicholas and a brother, Carl Nicholas.
