Marjorie J. Shuffitt, 96, of Anderson, passed away on April 17, 2021, at her home. She was born on February 12, 1925, in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
Marjorie graduated from Green County, Arkansas High School. She and her first husband, Richard “Dick” Ryan (now deceased), moved to Anderson in 1957.
Marge was a member of the Wapahai Chapter of the ABWA and the “Sisters” Red Hats Group. She attended Madison Park Church of God and is retired from Kittles Furniture. In retirement, Marge met and married Donald E. Shuffitt. They had 10 years together, traveling and enjoying life, especially their card-playing buddies. Don passed away in 2011.
Marjorie is survived by her daughter, Nancy J. Ryan; grandchildren, Nathan D. (Jennifer ) Ryan, and Kacey (Nicholas) Hart; great-grandchildren, Harlow Ryan, Charlotte Ryan, ZoeyJo Ryan; several nieces, nephews, and extended family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, John F. and Emma Phillips; first husband, Richard G. Ryan; second husband, Donald E. Shuffitt; sons, Richard N. Ryan, and Steven G. Ryan; siblings, Franklin Phillips, Theola Golden, Dorothy Fuqua, Marcella Phillips, L. T. Phillips, and Myron Phillips.
