Marjorie’s husband, Herbert H. “Mike” Ertel, died April 28, 2003.
Marjorie was a Navy veteran of WWII and self-employed as a writer and an editor.
Born Feb. 18, 1922 in Williamsport, she was the daughter of William and Rena Russell Thompson.
Surviving are a son, James P. (Lisa) Ertel of Richmond, VA; daughters, Rena M. (Richard) Haluska of Strongsville, OH; Mary Ellen “Molly” (Greg Sypolt) Ertel of Spokane Valley, WA and Kate E. (Paul Amensen) Bowers of Bow, WA and 8 grandchildren.
