Marjorie Boyd Hood, 89, the eldest of three daughters born to Frank and Geneva Fuller Boyd, was born January 25, 1921 in Lynn, Massachusetts. She passed away December 31, 2010 in Scottsdale, AZ., joining her husband of 65 years, Elson Hood, who passed away March 16, 2010. She met Elson while serving as a nurse with the Women’s Army Corp during World War II. Marjorie was an avid painter and ceramicist. She is survived by her children, Richard B. Hood (Susan), Stephen R. Hood (Tara) and Ronald E. Hood (Denise), grandchildren, Christopher B. Hood (Kathryn), Ryan P. Hood (Amanda), Amanda Hood Page (Travis), James B. Hood (Alana),Allison Hood, Sarah Hood and Ronald Hood, great-grandchildren, Oliver, George and Eleanor Hood and sisters Elaine Young and Gloria Eagan.
