Marjorie (Bobbie) Smith Williams, passed gently into the glory of heaven soon after the sunrise of a beautiful Easter day. She was born on January 21, 1929 and was the youngest of six children born to the late Henry F. and Grace Brooks Smith. She spent almost her entire life in her beloved Moreland, Georgia. She was a 1947 Graduate of Newnan High. After high school, she met and for 68 years was married to John Marvin Williams. Marjorie worked for Newnan Utilities in the business office for 32 years and retired in 1986, but her primary concern was always as a homemaker. She and Marvin were devoted to their church, Moreland United Methodist Church and were active participants in its ministries.

Marjorie is survived by her children, a son, Bob, and his wife Katie, for whom she cared deeply and was by her side until she slipped into her new eternal life, and her beloved daughter Gail Williams and her husband Bob Newsome. She had 2 grandchildren, Amanda Collins and her husband Randolph and Kristy Williams. She adored her great grandchildren Bo and Kate. She is survived by her sister Virginia Smith Reitenour and her sister-in-law, Kitty Smith.

She had a special place in her heart for her friend Charlie Lanier. There is an extended family of many relatives and friends she loved very much. These last days had been important to Marjorie as she was able to see and talk with so many for whom she cared deeply. She lived a long and full life and never took that blessing for granted. Passing on to heaven on a beautiful Easter morning seemed fitting for her as she spent a lifetime of service to her friends, family and church in honor of the God who created her. To God be the glory.
