Marjorie (Marge) Eloise Inman of Littleton, Colorado died on September 7th, 2020 surrounded by her family.
She was born on August 28, 1927 to the late Cecile and Jason McElvain in Jerome, Iowa. Marge married the late Arthur Inman on December 26th, 1948. The couple made Littleton, Colorado their home where they raised three children.
Marge was dedicated to family and was deeply committed to her community. She was very involved with the Columbine Knolls Recreation District and all activities her three children participated in. She always attended any endeavor her children were doing, from sports to music to school activities. She was a talented seamstress who became known as the go-to person to alter clothing. She was a great bookkeeper and organizer, and was talented in many different kinds of crafts, and even selling her crafts at local shows.
Marge loved Colorado, and did extensive traveling throughout the state’s National Parks with her husband Art.
She had a strong desire to always challenge and improve herself through extensive reading. She learned new skills on the computer well into her 80’s. She practiced common sense and tried new ways of looking at the world without biased judgement. Reserved in her convictions, she would let people decide what worked best for them. She was always concerned about others, was a great listener, and was incredibly gracious-someone who did not take anything for granted. She had a brilliant sense of humor and could come up with funny one-liners in any conversation.
Marge enjoyed the later part of her life at the Wind Crest Retirement Community. She loved being social, going to dinners and brunch with friends and family, and participating in several clubs including The Writing Club, The Apple Computer Club, and several others. One of her greatest joys was attending concerts given by local residents, and possibly her favorite-listening to Ron play the piano for residents on Sundays. Marge spent over two years collecting the history of Wind Crest and the Flying B Ranch. This history is published and can be found in the lobby and in the library at Wind Crest.
Marge is survived by her three children; Brian Inman, Brenda Walls (married to Harry Walls) and Cindi Inman (married to Mike Bobelak). She is also survived by her four grandchildren who brought her great joy-Savanna Seel (married to P.J Seel), Haley Inman, Arlee Walls and Sayler Walls, as well as her three step-children; Rose, Michael Jr. and Diana Bobelak. She is also survived by many beloved nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews-all who loved her dearly.
Marge leaves a very large space in our hearts, and all who knew her will miss her dearly, but her beautiful smile, kindness and legacy will live on. Not-So-Large Marge was larger than life!
