Marjorie Ellington Easter departed her earthly sojourn, ironically on Easter Sunday April 1, 2018 at the age of 95. She was a long time resident of Belton, Texas. She was born in LaArk, LA, August 3, 1922, the daughter of Harry Picard and Martha Stewart Ellington.
Her early years were spent in Arkansas farming communities with her five brothers and sisters who all predeceased her. She will be buried next to her husband, William G. Easter, who died in 1985.
Marjorie received teaching degrees from Corpus Christi Junior College and Arkansas A&M. She began her teaching career in Portland, Arkansas, and continued teaching in the LaMarque, Texas, school district until her retirement. She was a member of the Church of Christ where she applied her teaching experience for many years.
She is survived by a son, William G. Easter of Florida, and two daughters, Martha Pitts of Colorado, and Elizabeth Wilsher of El Campo, Texas. Survivors also include seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
