Marjorie Louise (Corbett) Boutilier, 89, a lifelong resident of Stoughton passed away on Wednesday February 18.
Mrs. Boutilier was the daughter of the late William S. and Marion (Holbrook) Corbett. She was a graduate of Stoughton High School, class of 1943. She was employed as a secretary at the State House Bank Commissioner’s Office and later as an Insurance Secretary at Crimmins Insurance, Bearce Insurance Agency and Rogers Insurance.
Marjorie married Arthur E. “Steve” Boutilier her beloved husband of almost 70 years and a Marine in WWII, who, to this day, says she “was the best thing that ever happened to him”. Besides her husband, other survivors include her two loving children, Wayne D. Boutilier and his wife Lois of Bridgewater, Lissa Boutilier and her husband Kevin Flaherty of Brewster, her two grandchildren, “who lit up her life.” Andrew and Shayla Flaherty. Marjorie was amongst 13 siblings. She leaves behind her sister, Shirley Dolloff and her brother Robert Corbett both of Stoughton and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Boutilier was predeceased by sisters Doris Fobes, Flora Holmes, Glady’s Morris, Maude Sawyer and brothers, Roy, Harold, George, Ernest, Arthur, Lawrence Corbett and William Marden.
Marjorie and her husband spent a wonderful life together and enjoyed dancing, traveling, being with their great friends and family and their cottage on Great Herring Pond.
