Marjorie (Brylski) Bansberg, of Peru, passed away quietly and peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on Thursday, June 18, 2015, in her 87th year at Simple Comfort Retirement Home in Peru. Mrs. Bansberg was born on July 11, 1928 in LaSalle to Stanley and Marie (Nowakoski) Brylski.

She was a graduate of LaSalle-Peru High School, and before her marriage to Robert Bansberg on October 7, 1950, she was employed by the Peru Power Company. Marge was a devout Catholic and a longtime member of St. Joseph’s Church in Peru where she was active in the Mother’s Club. Devoted to her family, she was an incredible homemaker, and self-taught cook and baker. Her love of music and singing enriched not only the lives of those around her but also that of The Harmonaires, a choral group with whom she performed for many years.

Marge was preceded in death by her loving husband, Bob, in 2011. They were married for 61 years, and together they enjoyed fishing, attending LP football games, card playing, traveling, and entertaining their family and friends. Marge was the dear and cherished mother of five children, Susan (Joseph) Alioto of Sunderland, Ontario, Canada, Robert (Linda) Bansberg of Evanston, Nancy (Aladar) Siles of Lake Zurich, James (Karen) Bansberg of Peru, and Brad (Shelly) Bansberg of Tarpon Springs, FL. Beloved grandchildren include Luke, Nick, Robert, Claire, Kirsten, Tarin, Ashley, Jim, Lauren, and Jake.

She will be sadly missed by her numerous nieces and nephews, and extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert, one sister, Peggy Trebusak, and one brother, Francis “Bry” Brylski.
