Marjorie Ann Schmoker, age 89, of Osceola, Nebraska, passed away October 24, 2020 at the Midwest Covenant Home in Stromsburg.
Marjorie was born August 12, 1931 in Stromsburg to Hans and Ruth (Carlson) Nielsen of Stromsburg. She attended school in Stromsburg and graduated from high school in 1949.
Marjorie was united in marriage on July 12, 1952 to Armand Schmoker of Osceola at the Free Mission Church in Stromsburg. To this union five children were born. Marjorie worked as a bookkeeper for attorney Bill Norton for a short time. Marjorie was a wonderful mother and farm wife. She worked hard all of her life and always put her family first. She made sure there was plenty of food to eat and she was the last to sit down. Marjorie will always be remembered by her kind heart and infectious smile.
Marjorie lived on the family farm until moving to the Midwest Covenant Home August 8, 2016 where she resided until her passing.
She enjoyed their neighbors, card club, sewing and reading.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Osceola.
Survivors include her husband Armand of Osceola; three sons: Byron Schmoker; of Osceola, Gaylen (Deb) Schmoker of Shelby, Morace (Michelle) Schmoker of Shelby; one daughter Ruth Ann (Chuck) McKeever of Sioux City, IA; nine grandchildren, six great grandchildren; sister Phyllis (Dick) Fusby of Kearney; sister-in-law Jerlene Nielsen of Stromsburg; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her oldest son Murray; grandson Jason; her parents; two sisters, Milas and Marian; and twin brothers Morris and Clarence.
