Marion Ward Watkins, of Denson Springs, was called home to be in the presence of the Lord on Saturday, the 5th day of September 2020. Mrs. Watkins passed away at her home at the age of 84. She was born in Denson Springs, Texas, on the 13th day of September 1935, to parents Johnny Ward and Berta White Ward.
Mrs. Watkins was a devoted wife, mother and teacher. She enjoyed playing Scrabble and reading.
She is preceded in death by her parents Johnny and Berta Ward; husband, Dan C. Watkins, Sr.; son, Johnny Watkins; great-grandson, Andrew Harrison Watkins; and brothers, Emory Ward and James Ward.
Mrs. Watkins leaves behind her loving sons, Larry Watkins and wife Kim of Groesbeck and Dan (Danny) Watkins, Jr. and wife Lee of Slocum; brother, Walter Ward; sister, Aline Rogers; grandchildren, John Watkins and wife Shannon, Penny Watkins, Daniel Watkins, Lynn Watkins, Dana Douglas and husband James, James Watkins and Jessica Watkins; great-grandchildren, Shamon Watkins, Sawyer Watkins, Justine Watkins, Zander Carnes, Emily Watkins, Blake Watkins, Ryan Trussell, Cheyene Olivas and husband Jessie, Harli Douglas, Hanna Douglas and Conner Kennon. Mrs. Watkins is also survived by three great-great-grandkids, Ryleigh Smith, Blakelynn Olivas and Samuel Olivas.
