Marion Sears, Jr., 82, of Meriden, husband of the late Mildred (Fluellen) Sears, passed away on January 11, 2017 at Hartford Hospital. Born in Phenix City, AL, he was the son of the late Sophie Sears. Marion served in the United States Army and worked for New Departure for over thirty years. He was an avid golfer and Dallas Cowboy fan. He really enjoyed his trucks and so loved his children and grandchildren. Marion is survived by two daughters, Sharon Sears and Debbie Sears, both of Meriden; three grandchildren, Charisse Dingle, Sophia Dingle and Damian Dontfraid and three Goddaughters, Elnora Barnes and Sandra Sneed, both of Middletown and Cheryl McKeller of Haddam.
