Marion “Sandy” (Coy) Bland, 91, of Lostant, passed away Sunday evening, February 25, 2018 at home with her daughters by her side. Mrs. Bland was born February 6, 1927 in Sydney, Australia to Robert and Florence (Clarke) Coy. After World War II, she came to America and married David L. Bland, a U.S. sailor whom she met while he was docked in Sydney. They were married in 1948 in DePue. Mrs. Bland was a homemaker and she enjoyed shopping for sales, spending time with family and visiting with friends.
She also enjoyed a good card game, after her house was clean, of course, and the dishes were done. Survivors include four children, Barbara (George) Robinson of Granville, Pamala Bland of Lostant, David (Lori) Bland of Daytona Beach, FL and Wesley (Dawn) Bland of Bartlett; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, David on April 27, 1995; her sister, Barb Walsh and four grandchildren, Brooke Robinson, Jason Brokaw, Zachary and Jessica.
