Marion Elizabeth Rogers Dorsey passed into her eternal life in heaven on Friday January 17, 2020 while in the compassionate care of Brightmoor Hospice in Griffin, GA. She was born March 5, 1935 in Crawford, Georgia and was the daughter of Newman Stanley and Ina Burton Rogers. She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, John Stanley Rogers, Ralph Vernon Rogers and Billie Rogers Gasaway. “Lib”, as she was known by family and friends, worked in the service of the residents of Coweta County as the Human Resources and Personnel Director in the Administrative Department of the county. Lib lived her life by the principles and spirit of the God she served. She was an active and enthusiastic member of Unity Baptist Church until her health issues prevented her participation. She was a member of the choir for over 40 years. She had a great affection for the children she taught in her Sunday School class and also the young people she encountered in her service in the youth ministry. Lib knew that the best lessons in life can be learned within the family unit and poured herself into being a compassionate and nurturing parent to her children, Elayne Dorsey Broome of Woodland, AL, Bari Dorsey Keeble and her husband Steve of Newnan, GA, Chuck Dorsey and his wife Debbie of Bogart, GA. Always near to her heart was the love for her grandchildren Charles Powers, Amanda Avila, Kevin Keeble, Jonathan Keeble, Meagan Long, Jordan Curry, Amanda Drahms and Erik Drahms. She has eight great grandchildren.
