SCOTTSDALE – Marion E. Hebting, 85, of Scottsdale, AZ passed away unexpectedly on July 13, 2018. Marion was born on April 12, 1933, to Michael and Anna Fumo in Chicago, Illinois. She graduated from Saint Mary’s High School Chicago, Illinois, and while working at the University of Illinois Dental School met her future husband, Charles. They were married in 1955, sharing 62 years of marriage. Marion supported Charles in his dental practices in Chicago and Wauconda, Illinois and eventually, Phoenix. Marion and Charles were blessed with three children, Annamarie in 1956, Vicki in 1958, and Michael in 1961.
Marion actively participated as a greeter at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Scottsdale as well as in the Sodality and on the Art and Environment Committee. She was also active in the Christ Child Society of Phoenix and chaired many fund raisers and served in the Teddy Bears and Bedtime Bags projects. Preceding Marion in death were her parents, her husband Charles, her brother, Michael, and her daughter, Vicki. She is survived by her daughter, Annamarie (Steve) of Paradise Valley, AZ, her son, Michael (Lisa) of Gilbert, AZ, and her son-in-law, Steve (Vicki) of Redding, CA. Seven grandchildren, Deanna, Michael, Anthony, Robert, Chelsea, Joseph and Leah as well as seven great-grandchildren, Madeleine, Ashton, Addison, Jason, Brandon, Victor and Charlotte also survive their loving “Nãnny.” Marion lived for hosting parties, helping those in need, and spending time with family and friends.
