Marion D. “Bear” Baker, 88, of O’Fallon, IL passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2020. Marion was born October 13, 1931, in Hutsonville Township, Illinois.
He was the manager at Thomas Hardware in O’Fallon for many years. He was a Union Representative and member of the Food and Commercial Workers Union #219. He enjoyed fishing and always loved watching Duke play basketball.
Marion was preceded in death by his parents, Fred D. and Margaret (nee Porter) Baker; wife, Margie Helen (nee Tipton) Baker; grandson, Alexander Michael Baker; sister Phyllis and brother Louis.
Surviving are his children; Michael D. (Carol) Baker of St. Charles, MO, and Dianne (Tony) Trout of Troy, IL, grandchildren; Shannon Gale (Craig) Rapp of Florissant, MO, Cory Michael Baker (Bailey Ganz) of Columbia, MO, Jason Anthony Trout of Troy, IL, Ryan Christopher Trout of Collinsville, IL, great-granddaughter; Abigail Ann Rapp of Florissant, MO.
