Marion Eleanor (Jerdee) Cerney,93, of St. Petersburg, FL, passed away peacefully in her sleep at the home of her special caregiver, Sandra Stone, on February 23rd, 2017. Marion was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Eva Jerdee and her husband, Alan J. Cerney, D.D.S. She is survived by her sister, Helen Aarts, of Decatur, Georgia; five nieces and nephews, and five cousins of her deceased husband, Alan.Marion was born May 9th, 1923, in Oak Park, Illinois. She worked as a secretary for Corn Products. Marion and Alan were married in 1950 and moved to St. Petersburg where they opened their dental office on 9th Street and 25th Avenue North. Marion loved working in the dental office, her home, raising orchids, and traveling with Alan. They retired in 1989.Marion spent the last five years of her life with care and compassion from Sandra Stone, and her caregiver and friend, Peggy Boyd.Marion will always be remembered for her wonderful personality and laughter.
