Mario Polverari, 91, of 224 Elm St., West Haven passed away Feb. 3, 2011 at his home. Born in New HavenOct. 12, 1919, he was the son of the late Paul and Antonia Gabucci Polverari. He worked as a bar tender for many years at Biagetti’s Restaurant in West Haven and the former Alfredo’s Restaurant in Branford. He was an avid golfer all his life. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army Air Corps. He is survived by one brother, Orlando (Prudence) Polverari of Bethany; one sister, Mrs. Felina “Phyllis” (Ernest) Festa of Woodbridge; and several nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by three brothers, Gino, Vincent and Edward Polverari. Home, 424 Elm St. (cor. Dwight) Monday, Feb. 7th at 10:15.St.
