Mario Moreira, 84, of Bethlehem Township, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 22, 2022 surrounded by his loving family, while in the care of St. Luke’s Hospice House. He was the devoted husband of Amalia (Gomes) Moreira, with whom he shared over 59 years of loving marriage. Born in Portugal, he was the son of the late Manuel and Francelina (Linahares) Moreira. Mario owned and operated Mario’s Grocery for most of his life until retiring. He was a member of Holy Infancy Catholic Church, Bethlehem. Mario enjoyed playing dominoes and watching his favorite team, FC Porto Soccer Club.
Survivors: In addition to his loving wife Amalia, he will be remembered by his children Mecia Furchner and her husband Brian of Fogelsville, Helder Moreira and his wife Wendy of Bethlehem, Carlos Moreira and his wife Janine of Northampton and Monica Bell and her husband Kenny of Bethlehem and his loving grandchildren Kenny, Christian, Jocelyn, Kirsten, Morgan, Adalynn, Sonia, Elizabeth and Emma. He was preceded in death by his beloved son Mario Moreira, Jr.
