Marilyn S. Shrout Earhart Hess, 82, of Anderson, passed away on September 19, 2012 at the Indiana University Health Hospital following a brief illness.
She was born on October 5, 1929 in Anderson, Indiana to the late Ora and Ernestine Shrout. She graduated from Anderson High School in 1947. Marilyn worked several different jobs: Commonwealth Loan Co., Motor Express INC of Indiana, Wasson’s in Anderson and Weatherford/Dana in Syracuse, IN. Marilyn was a member of East Lynn Christian Church and was affiliated with the Christian Women’s Fellowship, CWF Executive Board, food pantry and the Diaconate Executive Board.
Marilyn is survived by a daughter, Marla Bill Lawson and son, Charlie M. Vickie McGonigle Earhart, stepson, William J. Susie Hess, stepdaughters: Sandy Larry Haviland and Anita Pastor Montes; three sisters-in-law: Mary Jane, Twidge and Marilyn; grandchildren: Craig Dr. Amabel Cabatu Lawson, Laura Jeff Cukrowicz, Brooke Greg Talmage, Tyler Earhart, Charity Earhart and John McGonigle; great-grandchildren: Sara, Emi, Will, Jackson, Robert, Ryan, Timothy and Taylor; step grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her husbands: Mack Earhart and William Hess, her parents, brothers: Marvin and Gordon Shrout; sisters-in-law: Valderie, Jeannie, Doris and her mother and father-in-law.
