Marilyn Rose Werner of Hebron, NE, the daughter of August and Anna (Lunzmann)Fintel, was born April 1, 1936 in Deshler, NE. She departed this life on Saturday June 26, 2010 at Blue Valley Lutheran Nursing Home in Hebron, NE at the age of 74 years.
Marilyn was baptized April 19, 1936 and confirmed April 23, 1950 both at Peace Lutheran Church in Deshler, NE. She grew up and attended school in the Deshler area. On July 22, 1956, she was married to Eugene D. Werner by Pastor N. Holger Pearsons at the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Scandia, KS. This marriage was blessed with the birth of six children.
She was the bookkeeper at the Hebron and Deshler Sale Barns and worked many years for Blue Rivers Area Agency on Aging retiring in 1996, then was employed by Standard Market from 1996 to 2005. She also drove the school bus for the Hebron Public Schools and worked at the Bottle Shop in Hebron.
